Shuldberg Visit Part 1

So, they got here safe and sound! After a very long drive, we finally have our long awaited visitors. It has been so great to have our house in utter chaos. 4 boys, and a princess. . . who could ask for anything more?

First, on the list, was haircuts all around. How we have missed having Holly close! My hair feels so much better now that she trimmed off all of the dead. She cut Rohne's, Tay's, and Jake's too. Thanks, Holl. Now, we just have to make a trip to the Beauty Supply store, to take full advantage of that Cosmetology license.

Cam has been feeling a little under the weather. He has some tummy troubles, which has caused way too many stinky diapers. Poor kid. He is sure is cute, though, and such a joy to have around.

The main method of entertainment so far, has been Jake's Wii. The boys just love it, and can't get enough. Here are 3 of them, taking a little break from the action. Shon has officially declared that he will NOT be getting his boys one of these anytime soon.

Holly finally got her boys to take a bath this morning, after pestering them incessantly. They really didn't want to. Of course this turned into a party, without the princess of course. I told her that it's probably not a good idea to see her cousins naked, and vice versa.

This afternoon, we are going to a Hawaiian Barbecue that was featured on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives." It should be fun. Then, Jake and Shon have a full boy's game night planned. We are looking forward to a relaxing Fast Sunday tomorrow. Stay tuned for more. . . .

Imagine That!

So, after my incoherent ramblings early this morning, I actually asked my 4 year old princess if she knew where my camera was. She immediately said "Yes, Mommy, Rohnie and me were playing picture taker behind the TV. It's back there." I never even thought to ask her, but it should have occurred to me right away! Crazy, clepto kids!

Ramblings of an Insomniac

It's now 4:57 a.m., and I can't sleep. I lost my camera. It's been gone for over a week now. It's really making me crazy that I can't find it. I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I got up to look for it. I still can't find it. It probably doesn't help that it's 5:00 in the morning. . . . I have this horrible habit of putting things somewhere, and forgetting where I put them. Being pregnant just aggravates this problem. Anyways, this is why I haven't posted anything new for awhile. I figure no one wants to read my rantings, unless there's a cute picture to go along with them.

A little update:
-Holly and Shon are coming tomorrow. I'm so excited! I just wish I could find my stinkin' camera!
-Jake passed his test on Tuesday. It was a big relief, because he could have lost his job, if he didn't pass it. We would not want to be out of a job right now!!
-Rohne has another cold. When will it be summer already?
-I am getting bigger and bigger by the second, I swear. My back aches, my side aches, my stomach is upset all the time, I can't breathe as well. I could go on and on. I can't figure out why this pregnancy has been so much worse than my previous 2. I'm not even quite into the 3rd Trimester, and I'm ready for it to be over. I'm just getting too old!
-Did I mention that I lost my camera? I'm so mad!!!
I think that's all the updates for now. My life is pretty boring right now, I guess. And, my pregnant, tired brain cannot think of another thing to say. So, there ya go. I better find my camera soon.

New Hamblin Nephew

I am proud to introduce my 8th nephew on the Hamblin side, (No Nieces!) Payton Bryan Hamblin. He came on the evening of St. Patrick's Day, a robust 7 pounds 13 oz. This is Bryan and Mary's first child, and she did so awesome in labor, and everything! They will be great parents, and I can't wait to meet this new, little addition to our growing family.

Proud, and glowing first-time Mommy.

My handsome little bro, and his handsome son.

I think he's gonna look just like his Daddy. Congrats, you guys!

A Whole Lotta Waiting

There's not much going on in our little household lately. We're just kind of going through the motions right now, WAITING for bigger, and better things to happen. Here is what we are anticipating.

1-I signed up Tay for swimming lessons, finally. . . And, even though they don't start until April, she wears her swimming suit every day anticipating the date.
2- It snowed here this week, A LOT! I know, you all feel sorry for us, right? But, we do live in Seattle, and it's not supposed to snow here in March. We are waiting, very ever impatiently for Spring. What is Mother Nature thinking?
3- My sister, Holly, her husband, and 3 cute boys are coming to visit us the end of the month. They will be here in 13 days!!! This is the one that I can't seem to get out of my head. I know my parents were just here, and it was heaven. I can't wait for another slice!
4- And then in June, my sister, Natali and her husband, Bryce are coming here to live (well, technically, to live in Tacoma, which is an hour away. But, what's an hour?) for 4 whole months while he is doing a rotation for Med. School. I am so excited to reconnect with her, and I will love having her around.
5- Jake has a big test to take on the 24th, so he has been really busy, and kind of ignoring us lately. It is good, don't get me wrong, I want him to past the test. But, I just want him to take the darn thing already!
6- I have a Baby Shower I am throwing at MY house tomorrow. I REALLY can't wait for that to be over. I don't really like hosting things. I feel like there's too much pressure, and I am being scrutinized. This is probably all in my mind, but I still don't like doing it.
7- I'm waiting and waiting for Monique (my sister-in-law) to have her baby. Then it means that I will be that much closer to my due date. I am ready for my pregnancy to be over already. Now, about that baby, I'm not so ready for him. I'm not really liking being pregnant this time around. I really should try to enjoy it more, since this will be our last. (Oh, I said that last time too, Right!)
8- We are also anticipating the arrival of my other sister-in-law, Mary's, baby. She is due really soon, and I keep waiting for that exciting call from my brother to tell me that he's a new daddy. So excited for them, although I wish we lived closer.
9- At the present, I should be cleaning up my house, both for the shower, and for my mother-in-law, who is coming to babysit tonight. We are going out with friends for a WICKED night on the town, both of us childless. It will be great.

That's it. Good bye for now.

The Best 2 Days

This is the best picture I got. Oh, the love that kids have for their Grandmas. Nothing compares.

We had the best 2 days we have had in a long time. My parents got in after a long, grueling drive from Montana on Tuesday night. They stayed for a glorious 2 days, and then left to drive halfway home today. My dad is always busy with church stuff, and work, so it's hard for him to take extended vacations. We are so so so glad that Dad was able to come with my mom though. I have missed them so much lately. We were able to do some fun things, but mainly, we just enjoyed being with them every minute of the day. My kids have never been able to spend a lot of time with them, and Taylee, especially, really bonded with Grandpa Hamblin. Dad watched the kids while my mom accompanied me to my Dr.'s appointment, and I think that really helped. The kids loved riding in Grandpa's big, red truck, and Jake is convinced that our next vehicle needs to be a truck now. We'll see about that. We spent a little time at the Bellevue Square mall, which is pretty high class, and expensive. My dad about lost his mind, while my mom couldn't get enough of all the designer purse stores. Yesterday we went to Crossroads for a little while to get the kids out, and have some fun riding quarter rides, and then we went to the new Snoqualmie Casino Buffet for an early dinner. The food was sooo great. I would recommend it to anyone. It had a great big selection, yummy desserts, great service, and it's such a beautiful building. Jake even resisted inserting a quarter while we were walking through the slots. We rounded out the night by doing a little Karaoke on the X-Box. I forgot how much I loved to hear my parents sing together. I am still crying from the blessing that Dad and Jake gave me this morning. It is so great to have such loving parents, and at least I know that Mom will be back when this new baby arrives.

The kids really loved Missy. She's such a great dog, that it almost made me want to get one someday.

Kids being silly with Grandpa

Missy again. Taylee, who is usually very scared around animals, could not get enough.

This picture is right outside of the restaurant at the Casino. My mom made me edit her out of this picture. I think she looks great, but she swears she has a long ways to go.

Here we are, minus Jake, taking the picture.

They still look great together, after all these years.

I love you Mom and Dad! Thanks again for making our week. You are the best!

Dancing Queen

I haven't posted a video for awhile, and I just saw Tay singing along to "Dancing Queen" today, and thought it was really cute. Of course, Rohne can't let her be the star for very long. Please try to ignore his undies. Can't keep pants on that darn kid!

Can Hardly Contain It!

So, after all of my complaining, crying, and ranting and raving, somebody is really going to visit us!! My parents are in Helena, MT today, and will be travelling here for a little vacay after my Dad gets out of a meeting. They tried to come about 3 weeks ago, but ended up turning around, and going home because of weather. They brought my Dad's trusty red pick-up this time, so hopefully the snow will not deter them. I have so much stuff to get done today. i.e. laundry to do, toys to pick up, bathtub to scrub, air mattress to find, grocery shop, etc., but I can't find the motivation to do it. You'd think a visit from my parents would get me off my hiney, but it hasn't. At least not today. I did clean yesterday. But mainly because we had put a couch on Craigs List, and people were coming to look at it all day long. (We got it for free a couple months ago, and turned an $80 profit, Yippee!) I am so excited though, I can hardly contain it. Let's hope that Dad doesn't get too stir crazy, and leave me in the wee hours of the morning, and that it will actually stop raining so we can enjoy the outdoors a little. Can't wait!!! I know all of my siblings are jealous, but I also know they should all agree that it's TOTALLY my turn.
