Why?

Since we have moved into this house, I have had the hardest time keeping up with the laundry! Maybe it's because the washer and dryer are in the basement, and it's 15 stairs down, and scarey down there? Maybe it's because Jake refuses to use a bath towel more than once? Why does Rohne still go through at least 2 outfits a day? I thought they grew out of that! I did take a picture of my menagerie, but now I'm thinking about it, it would just be too embarassing to show. I keep wanting to go to Target and just buy another laundry basket. At least then, it won't be spread all over my floor. But, I know that is not the solution! Come on, give me some motivation!!

Sunshine, how we adore you!

I know, it's hard to believe, but we have actually had Seattle sunshine for straight days now. So, the kids and I decided to walk to the park (runny noses and all), and enjoy it. They were thrilled, and it was a great way to run off some of that pent-up energy. Then, when we got home, I raked a few leaves, and the kids were able to ride their cars around the driveway. Thank you Sunshine! We hope you bless us with your presence for many more days to come.

The twisty slide was a favorite.

I got this hat for Tay in the $1 bins at Target, and now she has to wear it wherever we go. Oh well, at least I got her to put jeans on.

Rohne is still trying to master the art of steering. I had to keep turning him around when he got into these "shady" situations.

Every time Tay gets in her pink car now she says, "Oh, thank you Santa!"

What a fun time. Watch out for the Trailblazer there, boy!

The Story of Teekie and Leekie

Today while Taylee was supposed to be taking her nap, I heard a big ruckus in her room. I walk in, and not to my amazement, I see her whole toybox dumped out onto the floor. She immediately informed me that she hadn't done it.
Me: "Well, who did it then?"
Tay: "Teekie and Leekie."
Me: "And, who are Teekie and Leekie?"
Tay: (Showing me) "Hand, and Hand"

To think she used to be this sweet and innocent!

Noses, Knights, and Dancing!

Rohne got his first bloody nose. He loves to jump from the stairs going up to the playroom, and most of the time, lands on his feet. However, his nose hit first this time. Don't worry, I'm actually holding him, while Jake takes this picture.

It may sound like an eventful weekend, but it wasn't. The kids still have coughs, and little runny noses, but are getting better, thank heavens. I'm waiting for middle of the night crying with an earrache, but it hasn't come yet. Saturday, Jake's brother was moving, and I had to play for a Baptism, so Grandma and Grandpa took over parent duty. Grandma Nanna took Samantha and Taylee to a Primary Activity, which was a blast for them, and Rohne hung out with Grandpa Danny at the house. He is still talking about his fun "Pappa" activities. My piano playing was less than desirable. Why is it that the primary song, Baptism, is the hardest song in the book, and the one they picked at the last minute? I really need to practice more. Anyways, that's about it.

Sharon got Rohne this Knight costume for those "Dress-up Dilemmas" mentioned earlier. He absolutely loves it.

On guard!

I don't know where they learned to dance like this. Our next Dancing with the Stars Champions.
More Dancing. Sorry about the panties. I really can't remember why she didn't have pants on. She usually insists on being fully dressed! I blame it on Jake.

What a week!. . . . . NOT!

I know, I haven't posted in awhile, but there's just not much going on lately around here. There's laundry to be folded, dishes to be washed, floors to be vacuumed, nothing fun. I am trying to get out of this slump. I haven't worked out in awhile, and I just know I'm getting chubby. I took the kids to this ward play group on Monday, and of course, they got sick, which doesn't help things. I am feeling very sorry for myself that I cannot go to Idaho to see little Cameron be blessed, and did I mention that I am chubby? Anyways, here's a few pics to document our week. Nothing great, but pictures will make this post a lot less boring!

Taylee doesn't have Ballet this week, so she has faithfully been practicing to "Bella Dancerella." I'm sure Monique can attest that this silly song NEVER leaves your head! Go away Bella!

Being a ballerina is tough work, so she needed a little rest.

"I don't know why you won't let me do ballet and wear a tutu!! All I get is this silly baby cow bib!"

We try to do a little school every day. Tay is getting quite proficient on her letters and sounds. And, Rohne can really color up a storm!!

I bought this chocolate mold mix on the After Valentine's Day racks. The kids really like to help me cook. I had quite the mess to clean up, and Taylee threw up all the next morning (come to find out, it was just a stomach bug) but they really had a blast.

Dora & Diego

Taylee really wanted to play dress-up tonight, and Rohne kept crying for a dress for himself. (Yikes!!) However, I had forgotten that my mother-in-law had purchased him a Diego costume just for these situations. I thought they were too cute, so I just had to snap a picture. Of course, it's hard to get them to focus on taking a picture for very long. This is what we get!

Apparently Diego can be quite fiesty. He was actually trying to growl like Baby Jaguar.

As you can see, Taylee is not in traditional Dora garb. This is Dora's fiesta dress. Don't mind the stains all down the front. How do you wash dress-up clothes?

Sweet, little guy

We've been having a bit of a sleeping problem lately. Taylee has decided that 3 year olds don't need naps, and Rohne is trying to follow suit. (No, he still doesn't sleep through the night. Don't know what to do about that one.) Saturday I went to a baby shower, and left Jake to put the kiddos down, with a kiss for good luck. I came home to see this. Jake said he fell asleep perfectly fine on the couch. He does look pretty sweet sleeping, I'll give ya that.
