She finally convinced me to have it done. . .

 So Taylee has been begging me for months to get her hair cut.  I just couldn't let her do it.  I love to do her hair so so much, and it's so gorgeous, and long, with not even a single split end!   She, of course, did not forget, and I finally told her that after her Recital, we could get it cut. 

 We went to trusty E-Haircuts, right down the road, and Twi cut it.  Tay was so so so excited, and did really great, holding very still the whole time.

 When I saw all this hair on the floor, my stomach got really sick, and I cried.  It was very emotional for me.  My stomach is still not feeling so well right now.

 And, here's the AFTER.  It's so cute, and she loves it so much.  I had her put some subtle layers in, to give it a little "bounce."  I'm glad because I think some of her curl is coming back, with all the weight from the length being gone now.

 I put it up in a pony, just to make sure I could still pull it up, and it looked cute like that too.  I love the little curl in front.

I actually cut my hair today too.  My good friend, and hairstylist Nicole, is moving to Utah the end of this month, (sniff, sniff) so I had to squeeze in one more cut before she left,  She cut off 4 or 5 inches, and made it really blonde on top.  Perfect for Hawaii!  Happy Summer to everyone!

Taylee's Spring Recital

Tay had her annual Spring Ballet Recital on Saturday.  She is such a little performer, and looks forward to this recital the whole year.  She has gotten so good this year, and loves it so much.  Her instructor advised us to move her to a more advanced class, and put her in the performing group as well.  I guess we'll have to see. . . 

She loves to get all dolled up, and put on make-up.  The red lipstick is always her favorite.  Whitney did her make-up, since Jake and I were out running through the mud.  (More to come on that), and she did a wonderful job.

When we started her in Ballet 3 years ago, there were like 6 or 7 of her little friends in her class.  Now it has dwindled to just her and Megan.  They still have fun though, and carpooling is always nice.

Here's her with her class this year.  They are mainly 2nd graders, that all knew each other, so she didn't make many friends.  The little black-haired girl in front was always so nice to her though.

I loved her costume this year.  I think it was my favorite yet.

She actually did a tap number this year too.  She just wore this leotard with a bathrobe over top, and they danced to "Splish Splash."  I didn't get any pictures of that, but, she has been doing the tap dance all over the house since.  We gave her some flowers too, but, she can't help talking about the 12 beautiful red roses that Grandma brought for her.  She loved that Grandma took the time to put little jewels in the bouquet too.  She always makes her feel so special.  Thanks so much Grandma!

Stake Fun Run and 5K

Last Saturday, our Stake hosted a Fun Run, which was a 1K for the kids, and an adult 5K.  The kids, minus Tristan, ran the 1K, which was about a half a mile, and then Monique and I ran the 5K together.  It turned out to be a wonderful morning for getting a little exercise, and having fun with the fam.  I can't wait until next year!

Taylee was having a very shy day.  So, I ran with her the whole lap.  She went at a very slow and steady pace, one where I could actually walk fast next to her.  She said she didn't want to have to breathe hard.  That's my girl!



Rohnie ran really fast, and then would take a little break to recup, then run full out again.  He's more of a sprinter, like his dad.

Preschool Graduation and End of T-Ball

Rohne had his last T-Ball game, and Pizza Party on Wednesday. I think we are all glad that it's done with! Here's Rohne with his buddy, Logan. They had a great time together this season.

Rohne really really wanted a trophy this year, but, after he saw the medal, he was pretty happy with it.

He also graduated from preschool. It's hard to believe that I will have 2 kids in school next year. Rohne is sooo ready for Kindergarten. It was hard for him watching Tay go off to school this year, and he couldn't go along. He actually attended 2 different preschools this year, but, Ms. Tammy did the whole graduation ceremony, which was fun. Tay attended this same preschool last year. And, the teacher is already asking when Tristan will be coming!

Here's him, and his buddy Logan, again. They were in the same preschool too. His dad, and Jake were best friends from childhood, and it worked out pretty good that we had boys around the same time.

This and That

So, the school year is coming to a close. I can't believe that next year I will have a Kindergartener, and a First Grader! School this year has had its ups and downs, but, it has been good for Tay. I'm hoping next year will be even better.

Soooo ready for summer around here.

Tay had her Spring Performance at school today. She loves to perform! And, we love watching her!

First Year of T-Ball

We thought that our 5 year old was finally old enough to take part in his first team sport. Rohne has been in T-Ball this year, and has been loving it, for the most part.

Jake, and his friends, Tila, and Jon are the coaches. We were moving on Picture Day, so Jake missed the Team Picture. It has been so nice to have 3 coaches, and, most of the time, they are absolutely necessary. Jake has learned this year, that he won't be coaching again for awhile. He is so busy keeping all the kids in line, that he has been unable to enjoy being with his son, and teaching him. It is so funny to hear all the boys calling him "Coach Jake." They all really like him.
Rohne confided in me that he mainly plays T-Ball because he gets a cool snack after the game. And, he can't wait until he gets his medal. He asks about it every time.

Yes, his mitt is giant. And, he's wearing Nike cleats, that he won't be able to wear next year. Daddy got a little carried away at the Sporting Goods store. . .

And, here is our honorary part of the team. Now, Tristan really really goes to the games to play. And, he gets very mad when I won't let him. He is constantly in and out of the dugout, and if I'm not quick enough, he slips through my fingers and runs onto the field. He thinks he's just as big as all those boys, and he wants to show it. So, I never get to watch the game either. I just chase the monster.

Yet, who can resist that face?

Easter Fun 2011

Happy Easter from the Klein kids. This is the best we got. You'll notice that my almost 2 year old is acting very much his age lately. He is a terrible terror. In all the words. Really.

I let the older kids dye the eggs while my wonderful almost 2 year old took a nap. Oh, so peaceful. . . I have a feeling they enjoyed it much better w/out him.



Our gracious family invited us to their community Easter egg hunt again this year, and it was a lot of fun, as usual. The weather was beautiful, which was highly unusual. I didn't get many pictures of this event because of chasing around said almost 2 year old.

The Easter Bunny did visit our house on Sunday morning, and the children were thrilled.

After church, we headed over to the Grandparent's house for dinner, and another Easter egg Hunt. Monique and I inadvertently chose matching shirts for Parker and Trist this year. We both have such great taste, ya know.

Tristan had found out earlier in the day that the plastic eggs contained candy. He was content with just one egg at a time. He would pick one up, eat the candy inside, and then move on.

Each child received one golden egg with a whole dollar inside. Such excitement!

Although Easter was a little crazy this year with all the packing, and moving going on, I tried to take time out and make it special for the kids. Before we know it, Easter won't be nearly as fun for them as it is now. Always changing and growing!!
