In the Still of the Night

Yes, it is 1:19 a.m., and here I sit. Not by choice. I somehow picked up a fierce cold. And, it has taken me over with a vengeance. My head is pounding, my throat stings, my nose is throbbing, my chest and limbs ache. I reached out for anything, something to help me sleep, and ease the pain. So. . . Antihistamine! In the form of Tylenol Cold Nighttime. It seems to work magic for my kids when they get sick. One teaspoon, and they are usually out for the count until morning. I have known since I was a young woman, that it didn't work this way for me, but I wanted something. I yearned for something. What a foolish mistake! My heart is pounding like a drum, and I can feel the blood pulsing through my veins like lightening. Oh, how I dread the morning!

I hope you're feeling better and that you eventually got some sleep.

Oh Emily!!! I knew you couldn't handle that hard stuff. I'm sure sorry you are sick. Eucalyptus, that works great.

I have the exact same cold Emmers. I really really really know how you feel. I talked to you yesterday and thought I was on the tail end, but I got hit really hard last night and this morning. I am so sorry.
