(Just a sweet picture of the kids. They like each other sometimes)So, we've been having a little bit of a problem with the kids lately. They are soooo bored with me, and just want their Daddy all the time. I don't know if I'm being a mean, ornery, pregnant mommy, or what. If Jake doesn't get them up in the morning, they cry, if he doesn't put them to bed at night, they cry. They will NOT eat dinner without Daddy, no matter how hungry they are, and Jake's not always home at the earliest dinner hour. Yesterday at church, Jake had to handle both kids in Sacrament Meeting, because they wouldn't let me touch them. He has to put them in the car, and take them out, or else!!! I was just chucking it up to him being gone all the time, and they miss him. But, yesterday, Taylee told me that she loves Daddy more than me. Although, she thinks I'm the best cooker, and cleaner. Yeah, thanks. You wouldn't know that Mother's Day was approaching, and I'm the one that supposed to be appreciated. What should I do with 'em? Weekends are fine, because Jake is around a little more, but, I feel like during the day, they're just asking me where Daddy is, even though they know perfectly well he's at work. It's makin' me a little crazy. . . . I mean, he is a good dad, but, where would they be without me in their lives?

ah haha! Jacey tells me all the time she likes RYan more than me. BUt also reassures me that Keira loves me more than Ryan. So I guess it evens out.
Sounds like you are doing everything right. It's just a phase, just keep trying to do fun things with them. Obviously I'm not saying it has to be a big ordeal...you're pregnant for heavens sake! You are a good mom who loves her kids. We go through phases like that here too, it just seems that you are getting the double whammy right now. It's a good thing that they love their dad, their confidence will be so great when they are older!
Hang in there, you are awesome!
Sounds like you should just take advantage of this time and sit back and relax. Soon enough they will switch back to you and you will wish they didn't.
It's just a phase Emily! My kids have gone through that too - they switch back and forth all the time. Enjoy that they're not glued to your side right now being as pregnant as you are! At least Taylee said you were a good cook...;)ag
My kids are a little bit the same way right now, more so my little girl! Mondays are absoluetly horrible. We've been doing fun things all weekend long and then Monday comes and it's back to business and they crazy! I think they are just bored. So my kids are just really cranky on Mondays becuase they want to be always doing something, when I have to be cleaing up from the weekend! I agree with the comments above, it's just a phase and you should enjoy it.
Maybe you should leave and take a trip to AZ. They would probably all be begging for you to come home after having to live without you for a week--Jake probably the most!
Well, Jake is pretty awesome Em . . . SOOOOOo. JUST KIDDING. I think that you are the most awesomest of the awesomest. Plus, you are the best cooker and cleaner this place has seen ever. SNAP! You rock sista.
Haha...that is sweet though. They've got the daddy blues :) Dont worry- mom is always number 1 :)
They're children, they don't have the same definition of love and hate as adults. They are just saying in the only way they know how that they are happy to be with Daddy when he is around. If you were gone and Jake was the one home all the time, you would be the one that they longed for. Remember, they are only 3 and 4. Now if they were 13 and 14 you might have reason to be concerned.
