Feeling HUGE, Getting HUGE, Being HUGE!

So, my sister has been asking for a recent preggo pic of me. I am not happy about posting this, but for journaling purposes, I may be happy that I have it in the future. I am now 31 weeks, and feeling 41 weeks. I am just enormous. I always carry my babies really really high, and this little guy has already started kicking my ribs, and taking my breath away. By nightfall, I'm ready to kick him right back. I haven't elaborated a lot about this pregnancy on the blog, but it has been a tough one. I am now to the point that they are watching me like a hawk. I am going in every week for a Non-Stress Test, and every other week, I get an ultrasound. Back around the 16th week, my Quad Screen came back positive, which is a precursor for Downs Syndrome. After an amnio, they found out that wasn't the case, but they were still worried that I had such high hormone levels. They also found, on the baby, what they call "echogenic bowel." Both of these things together, can lead to stillbirth, poor growth, and placenta dysfunction, among other scary things. I have felt fine so far, and I can't see how this baby can't be growing, because I sure am. I guess it's more risky from the 30th week on. It's been kind of an emotional roller coaster, and I just hope that it all turns out okay. My other 2 pregnancies were such a breeze, until it came to the labor, delivery, and recovery part. This pregnancy has been hard from the get go. I definitely weigh more with this one than I did with the other 2, and hope I can get my bun in gear enough to lose the weight afterwards. You'd think chasing around 2 kids would help with that, but all that it does is make me really tired. We are still trying to figure out a name for the little guy, and have quite a few options in the works. Let's hope these last 2 months fly by, with no complications, and he comes out perfectly perfect in every way.

first of all you are not huge, and you look darling! you look fantastic, don't be hard on yourself. You are supposed to gain weight. You are GROWING a BABY! That is your job!
And I am so sorry about the complications. geez that is horrible! So what do you have to worry about form week 30 on? Is there anything that could happen that they would take the baby early? I hope things go well for you.
Names are hard. Good luck! Do you want input?

Um, huge?! Not quite sister. You look like you have a round little basketball in your tummy and that is all...there are a lot of women out there hating you for being a cute pregnant woman. However, I know what it feels like to feel HUGE and have everyone say "oh, you look cute and pregnant." So I will say no more. You and your little guy are in our prayers still. Keep me posted.

Emily you do look cute, in spite of how big you think you are. I think that one burns up lots of calories chasing children around, and 3 under the age of 5 will be alot of chasing. Ours prayers are always with you and the new baby. We love you and him already.

Emmers,
you are such a cute pregnant mommy, You have such a glow. You are going to be just fine, and for the weight thing I don't see where you are big at all. You just have a cute belly. I know you, you will have it off in a month after he is born. You are a doll. For me the weight thing was so hard after Faith, it seemed like it took forever to get off and with Jay it was so easy. Nursing sure helps though. I wish I was one of those lucky ones that could get back into my pants the day after I had the baby. Maybe I shouldn't eat so much chocolate during the pregnancy. LOL!! Anyway, I am so excited for you. Thanks for posting this, I have never seen you pregnant, so so cute.

Oh Emily! I think you look great, but I'm so sorry it has been so rough. I'll keep you and that sweet baby in my thoughts and prayers. I've put on a lot of weight with this baby, too, and was a lot sicker. It makes me nervous about having more. Then I look at Bethany and think there's hope!

Sheesh woman! I didn't realize you were so far along already. I guess I need to check in on your blog more often. You really look great and I know you don't feel it, but you don't look very big at all. I really hope everything goes well in this last little bit. I'm glad you posted about it. Sometimes just knowing that others care about you and are praying for you helps. Know that I am in that group. Keep us posted!
