As soon as I saw Princess Giselle on the movie, "Enchanted," I thought of my sister, Natali. She has many gifts and talents, but one of her greatest is her companionship, and deep love for nature. She almost has a sixth sense for finding abandoned, and forlorn animals, and taking them in, and healing them. She loves the great outdoors, and loves camping, hiking, climbing, the whole bit. Let's just say, that's not me. This is why I am apologizing beforehand to her for what we did today.
After I got back from Idaho, I noticed a new little present left under one of the boughs of our porch. It was an exquisite bird's nest. I immediately thought that it had to go. After all, don't all little animals, and their waste have diseases and stuff? My kids play on the porch. Well, yesterday was the day to do it, I told Jake. My heart cried when I saw two little perfect blue robin eggs. I know, I'm a terrible person, but it had to be done. I'm sorry Natali! It was quite amazing how a little bird could make this nest. It was so perfect.

That's so coolto see those eggs! I like nature too, but I probably would've wanted to do the same thing. We have a birds nest under our awning (i think that's the word!) of our house that the birds are always going in and out of. It's right by a window so the cats are always going crazy! And we hear the babies all the time, which can get a bit annoying. Birds....
I would have removed the nest too. I have bird issues. I must say though, the eggs are beautiful.
Heavenly Father will be just as pleased with your childtren's learning experience as he would be with the hatching of those little eggs. We all know that we were given all of nature for our use and benefit yet we are to reverence it. I think that you did a good thing. I leaned not to question your motherly instincts when it comes to what is healthy for your children from our experience at Leo's.
That next is beautiful! I would have wanted to take it down also.
This reminded me of a story my friend shared. But don't read it if you gross out easy.

that is the coolest nest. You should keep it somewhere safe to show the kids later. They will want to bring that to "show and tell" some day.

you are right, I am so sad about this Emmers. Poor Robin. The Robin is going to come back to where the nest was and be so lost and confused and later on heart broken. However, I am glad that you all enjoyed it.
Hey I tagged you!
