Yesterday, Tristan had his 6 month check-up. I can't believe that in 6 more months, he will be a year old!!
Current stats:
Weight: 19 pounds 5.5 oz. -- 75-90%
Height: 27 3/4 inches - - 75-90%
Head: 44.9 - - 75-90%
He's a pretty proportionate kid, all around, as you can see. Everyone tells me that he is so big, but, he's still not as big as Rohne was. Rohne was always, and still is, above the 95th percentile. My Dr. (still love her) fully rebuked me for not sleep training him. I guess I looked REALLY tired yesterday, which I was. But, it wasn't just sleep deprivation. I'm emotionally, not just physically drained lately. With job stresses, money, cars, loneliness, ya know-LIFE. Anyways, she told me, once again, that 3 kids is a big job, and, I need to sleep in order to be the best mom. I told her I am just a whimp, and can't stand to hear him cry. She said that's no excuse. He needs his sleep, just as much as I do. So. . . . I plan on sleep training him this weekend, when Jake can help me out a little. He's had a fever from all the shots he got yesterday, so, she said wait a couple days. I wish there were another way. But, chances are, he won't remember this when he gets older, right?

He definitely will not remember it when he's older! We're working on the sleep training with Benny now. I'm having a hard time functioning during the day. It worked really well with Graham and Lucy. Ben has been a little slower, but hopefully soon. Don't give up!! You need to sleep!!
You can do it Em! You both will be so much happier! Saw that you had posted about starting to run again, I have tried to start up again too. Maybe we can help keep each other motivated via email or something! Miss ya and love ya!
He won't remember. But it's so hard. you do need your husband there for the support. It's so hard to listen to them cry and to be honest sometimes it's just easier to go get them but you can do it :) I'm still potty training Nate so if it makes you feel any better I'm suffering right along with you.
Right! He won't remember! You do need your sleep. It's hard, but you gotta do it. Mr. Tristan sure is growing! I'm kinda in shock that in 3 months I'll have a 1 yr. old. Time sure flies!
P.S. Collin finally started rolling in both directions the other day! I think it scared him. He started crying and acted like he didn't know what to do. But, now he's rolling everywhere and getting stuck under things. Now, crawling...we'll see. Tristan will be crawling WAY before him, I'm sure of it!
He will never remember it. Funny doctor. At least she has your best interest at heart! You're a nicer mom than me. It seems like with each kid it gets easier to let them cry. Am I heartless or what?! Good luck this weekend. I'll be thinking of you. I just always tell myself that it doesn't last forever...right?!
Sorry, but you know it is true. You can do it. You guys are great and you will handle all this stuff. We sure love you!!
Wow he is growing up, he is a cutie. I am glad the older ones are playing so well together, and good luck with the sleep training. Eliza did really well, but I don't know if that was what we did or just the kind of baby she was. Guess we will wait and see! Hopefully you can get some good sleep in the near future.
Do you remember crying when you were 6 months old? Of course you didn't cry very much, but I am sure that you, as all children, had a few tramatic times?
I have this same problem. I've never been able to let my kids "cry it out". But my advice is to not listen to a doctor about being a Mom, they don't go to school for that. Trust them for medical advice, but trust yourself on what's good for you. My first kid slept through the night at six weeks and stayed that way the rest of her life. My second kid was competely different and still sometimes wakes up. Some kids have different needs. I can also function on a lot less sleep so it didn't bother me. Good Luck! From the looks of your kids you are doing a great job!
