We have our ward Christmas Party tonight, and I signed up to bring a yummy treat. My sister, Natali sent me the recipe for these yummy truffles. I am not as gifted as she at treat making, but I decided to give them a whirl. I was too scared to try one until Jake got home from Volleyball to taste first. And, the verdict. . . They are really yummy!! I was a little disappointed the recipe didn't make more. Now, I have to make some more today, and they probably won't be as good the second time around. But, if anyone wants to give them a whirl, the recipe is on my comments in the "Twins" post. Merry Christmas Treat Making! And, thanks Nat, for the idea and recipe.

Wow! You are brave. They look great. I'm sure they will be a hit.
They look great Emmers. You did wonderful job. A little hint. Since the truffles are so rich. Make them pretty small. I just use a table spoon (like the kind you eat cereal with) and barely fill the tip of it with the truffle. Then drop that into your sheet. I got about 30 out of the recipe when I did them small.
Another hint with the truffles. I had to refreeze the truffles half way through dipping them in the coating. I also then reheated the chocolate dipping. Just always use the lowest heat you possibly can and stir it constantly to keep it from curdling.
Emily, these were so delicious! You can now call yourself a pro-truffle maker! And I have to say, I loved the fact that they were so big! What's better than a truffle? A really big truffle!!!! It was fun to see you guys Sat. night, call us when you have a free night!
You are amazing. I am sorry I am not as good at the blogging as you. I love hearing from you and seeing what you are doing. I am actually crying right now because I miss you so much. But I will see you soon.
